How To Create Content Upgrades in Less Time

Do I really need to create content upgrades for every single blog post?

Having an opt-in offer on your blog posts is a great way to start converting your traffic to leads, however content upgrades have been shown to significantly boost conversions when they're directly related to the blog post they're on.

What are content upgrades and why do you need them?

A content upgrade is an opt-in offer that's directly related to the topic of the blog post it's on. Think of it as the next logical step for your reader. Someone comes to your website (yay!), they read your blog post (woohoo!), and then....??

You're not gonna let them leave empty-handed are you? They're obviously interested in what you shared, why not help them further with some more awesome content? But this time in exchange for an email address!

One of the leaders I follow does a content upgrade on her weekly blog post. I see the power of it for sure!

It certainly is powerful JoAnne, looking forward to seeing you implement this on your blog! Baby steps though ok?

This is a great way to minimise the maintenance and setup of a bunch of opt in delivery sequences! I hadn’t heard of Thrive Leads before so that’s one for the toolkit.

I had heard from Melyssa Griffin maybe, or Femtrepreneur that you can start with one main opt in, then begin creating one main opt in for each category on your blog, then move to creating a new content upgrade for each post. There are lots of ways to work towards have upgrades for every post without going from one to all right away. Love it!

Absolutely great point Kerryn…start slow and work your way up. I’ve also heard of creating one main bigger opt in and then pulling parts of it and making smaller opt in offers from that. Thanks for the comment!
